Erik this is an INCREDIBLE product. I use the Natal Forecast with [...] and it's amazing how closely the Dow follows this track. I've tested it back to the beginning of this year with a few basic rules I devised and it shows 22 wins and 5 losses. I can't get as good results with the Nasdaq though. Perhaps I need to experiment with some other planets and such.
I was also extremely impressed with your Ultra Smooth Momentum Indicator. I can't tell you the number of times that I've been burned by trying to use divergence in indicators like regular momentum and MACD!
I'd appreciate any pointers you could send along regarding Astrology and market timing. Thank you for an excellent product!

finding time/price locations with square of 9, ephemeris,and using pattern tools: fib vortex and FOP is amazing.
most of the time i know when and where price will be the night before i put on a trade and how many 8min bars i have before i get out. figuring out how far the trade will go i have not perfected. a lot of times it blows right through the pre determined exit levels so i make more money which is just fine. i always exit by the time i've reached my projected bar count. it is really a little un nerving to have this kind of clarity in the markets.

Taking a while to adapt to Lomb, and ultra smooth. Wanted to share something really neat though. End of day, about to go long indicators and divergence said yes. But I was slow to get in so was looking for good entry and it started to retrace down, so I waited.. I got the fib vortex up and aligned, earlier, and it hadn't reached the projected high. As I watched the mkt. come down, and it was cool because I was half expecting this, It landed on the axis line and followed it right up, finishing right at the anticipated high on a curved line. Wow spooky...My trading friend think I am nuts...But I am starting to trust this thing...I switched to es so I could use the easier , your guidance, on the 12 x3 scaling....Just wanted to share my amazement..all the best DF

These tools are great, I fit some of the tools to Comex Gold and they fit great. The vortex is superb! I don't know how to use Sq. of 9 yet and many other tools, it seems like a full time job, there are so many to learn. The 9/5 is on the money. and the little dots work good.

People who don't have tools like these are trading blind, and they will get ticked out of a good position time and again. As far as the astro tools go, I used the wave generated out of nasa data on the exchange location and the one that shows the red and blue lines crossing each other. The date I used was a logical one since I don't know the actual, "...", and it seems to fit very well. I used other dates that did not fit as well. In fact it fit the gold daily right to the notch when I slid the chart up and down with the big hand. I guess cosmic logic is true logic, and unencumbered by worldly emotion. Like a pilot suffering from vertigo, you must trust your indicators! When your winning position is high flying on a long and your emotions have been wiped up and down you need a navigator to tell you where your at. Of course you know all of this, but don't you like it when someone discovers what you are trying to do for them.

Wave59 is the single best trading software I have ever seen, period. If you can't make money with these indicators, most of which are not available anywhere else, you shouldn't be trading. As far as I am concerned, it is the Holy Grail.

Wave59 is great. I was using Metastock and was having a great deal of trouble getting things done. There were things I wanted to do because I was recognizing time price relationships that I could not manage with their tools. Especially with their lack of proper chart scaling tools. The Lomb Periodogram and the Fibonacci Vortex are amazing in their accuracy. I'm using them on 1 minute e-mini S&P charts. The Lomb, even when it isn't accurate, is keeping me out of some potentially losing trades by watching the probability histogram. Thanks for the great work.

I have only had wave59 for a day and a bit, but have already set up a 5 min chart and added quite a number of indicators. I don't need to tell you, I'm sure, that wave59 is so far in front (of what I had been using) it isn't funny. There were about 6 divergences from the super smooth momentum indicator alone over a matter of hours, whereas with the online chart I have been using, only 2 were detectable, but with so much noise that I would have queried them anyway. Combined with the EX bars and the 9-5 count (these act to confirm each another) all these trades were workable - AND profitable. Add the Gann fan and the Fib. vortex, which I did after getting the scaling right, and that just added to the confirmations.

At long last it seems that with wave59 I will be able to turn a profit with a high degree of certainty in trading, instead of just hoping that my analysis from old indicators would work.

Apologies for the bit of rambling, but I guess you get that from most newbies.

I must say I would not have believed the close cohesion between daily price movements and both the Fibonacci Vortex and the Natal Forecast unless I had witnessed them both myself during live trading. The vortex acts like a magnet whichever way I set it up even when I carry my chart over to the next day and the Natal reading has been uncannily accurate three days out of four so far!! Brilliant!

Now I just need to sort out my data feed and get a better handle on how to interpret the key reversal signals but the Wave59 software is so good I think it is basically just going to come down to me having the guts to pull the trigger when the indicators say so!

It will take awhile to go through and try to implement the Fibonacci one! You have been very exacting, and should be complimented on your excellent work!! As far as I can see the software is unsurpassed by any, including Nexgen.

Paper trading with Wave 59 is like magic compared with the old indicators that many courses and so called Super Traders like John Carter and Don Miller use. I have spent thousands of dollars on seminars and live trading courses at the Marriott Hotel. All of them use old 100 year old indicators and a lot of scam, plus when you meet them, they are very arrogant, and boast about trading 19 contracts at a time. All I have been doing is loosing money off and on all year!

A while back I came across Wave59, I did not want to spend the extra money for another charting service since I had a platform with a chart on it. I finally broke down and tried Wave59 for the free month and used IQFeed as the realtime chart feed. Earik has been wonderful at helping me get set up. I use indicators through Wave59 that other charting services wish they had. Month after month, my bottom financial line before Wave59 was basically a break even situation. Now, I am making money. I have forever been told that less than 1% of the traders out there truly consistantly make money. It was not because I was not working hard enough before, because I would be on the computer all day and part of the evening until I was tired looking at charts. The problem was not my knowledge of the market, it was that I was using indicators that everyone else was using. Those indicators do not work as they are! Just think for a minute, why are less than 1% of traders consistantly profitable if everyone is using the same indicators? The answer is so simple that it is a slap in the face. They are using indicators that are different. Wave59 provides those different indicators. And in my case, if Wave59 does not have the exact indicator that fits your trading style, Earik will help guide you in the right direction so you can develop your own indicators. YES... Wave59 software allows you to develop your own indicators.

So... Is the price of Wave59 and the price of IQFeed worth it? In my case where this is my only income, the answer is YES! If you are truely happy with the income you are making from trading the way you are presently trading, then you should stay with the charts you presently have.

If you are wondering why I am endorsing Wave59, it is because I am NOW making money from the market. Very few can truly say that. I am not trying to brag about making money, the point is that it took Wave59 to do it. Yes. It is still under development, so there are enhancements being added often. The program writer seems responsive to requests, which is truly rare (I've been trading 20 years, have developed my own systems and indicators, some of which have been published). When I emailed Earik about a potential issue, he telephoned me to sort it out - but it turned out to be a non-issue. How often do you see service like that?

--Are you able to make it work for you in the manner you hoped it would when you started using it?

Yes. I used the 30 day trial to shake down the software, and I was very pleased with the particular indicators I wanted to use, primarily the Chart Squaring, Gann Fans, Fibonacci tools, and Counters, which I have used manully for years. It greatly reduces the time I need to do my forecasts.

--How steep have you experienced the learning curve to be? (especially the fib vortex)

The learning curve for the indicators is not long at all, just read the help files. It helps if you already understand the value, use and limitations of the technique e.g. Gann Fans, Fib Numbers etc. The Scripting Language is simple, but I would really like to see more examples and standard scripts. I hate learning new languages, and I learn best by examples rather than instructions. I had no problem writing my own custom indicators in the script, and the one I could not figure out, Earik said to email it to him and he would help me out with it. As for the Neural Net, I haven't even begun to try it out. WHile I don't like to have to pay for another group in order to learn it well and get the examples, I realize these guys have to make a living too - so when I see the need to systemetize my indicators I will join the group and pay up. The fees are reasonable for specific tasks, and I would think that 2-3 months would be sufficient to get a good grip on NN programming. The key I think is having a combination of indicators that show promise as a system. The Fib Vortex is not difficult to use, but you have to use it properly for what it was intended. Some traders (I am discerning this from the trades they have posted) use it for reversal trades and without a plan. It wasn't meant for that (used alone). It is great for forecasting where price may bounce, and may turn, but eventually, all the lines will be broken as price exceeds the size of the vortex. Exactly where it will break is not knowable. It is a great tool for setting price targets for entry or exit which are based upon a good plan. It is not by itself a forecaster of turns. The angles it generates are great, and when you calibrate it exactly, you can kind of tell when it's going to trand change, but not "absolutely." When you change your chart size, the vortex stays the same size. It would be nice to have the option for it to change scale with the chart, or not change scale, but it takes only seconds to resize it.

--Have you found the program's unique indicators to give you the kind of significant edge that is implied on the website and in the download that explains the program?

Really, none of them besides the 5-9 are unique, the principles are taken from the market masters, which in my opinion is great. I have already proven many of the indicators in my own trading experience, like the Gann Fan (most programs do not properly square the chart - which is absolutely necessary for many of the techniques such as fans, angles, fib relationships etc... to work properly -and so many other programs give erroneous results). On the Gann Fans, I would like to be able to calibrate each fan to a price scale (numericaly, by entering the number, rather than by eyeballing the calibration to the first high of the first pullback). (e.g. set the 1x1 to 45 degrees).

--Has anyone consistently applied the "mechanical" system that is offered in the explanatory download? If so, have you been able to do so profitably? Does it generate enough setups (particularly in emini intraday?

No. I have my own setups for e-minis, QQQ, and also Options. I haven't even tried it.

--What in your experience are the program's main strengths? weaknesses (if any)?

Strengths:
Combination of excellent tools (direct and abstract, as I call them)
Ease of application of tools (especially if you read the help files)
Customer Support (none better)
QScripting (easy to learn)
Ability to develop own systems
Reasonable Rental Rates (I have bought packages that I immediately didn't like, so the free trial is excellent, just enough time to prove that it works, and the monthly commitment to rental is great too - no year long subscriptions required)
Ease of use importing free daily data (like from Yahoo!) for daily charts.
Good basic education for Newbies on using advanced techniques (if they read the files, heh heh)

Weaknesses: (I would call them areas for potential improvements)
Needs "Cancel" buttons on indicators, now, if you select one and change your mind, you have to click ok (esc doesn't work) place it on your chart, then go to indicators and delete it. I would like to be able to cancel any operation, not just the ones that already have a cancel button.

Some indicators you cannot set the line width, or color, or it has a reduced color set. I would like more options there.

Some indicators have the same starting point, like a Gann Fan and Fib Retracement Numbers are both at the low. When you try to select one, it often selects the other because the hot-spots are on top of each other. What I have to do is use the towtruck to move one out of the way, set the other, adjust it, then move the original back. It gets tedious when you have three or more indicators starting at the same point. If there were a way to show all the hot spots so you could select the one you want to adjust (perhaps from a pop up list), this would save time and make the program easier to use.

I would like standard oscillators added. I use several different ones to confirm Elliot Waves. It would be easier for me if I didn't have to use two packages to add EW analysis. But most people do not know how to do this and need the full EW software anyway. I can do it just from the Oscillators. (been doing it a long time).

Again, the software is still being developed, and I would expect all these things to be added eventually. In fairness to Earik, I have not yet even mentioned these "potential enhancements" to him.

--Do you think it might be more suited to one trading style more than another? Why?

No. I use it with e-Signal real-time data feed for daytrading e-minis, and I use it with ascii data (daily) for options trading. I trade with different vehicles based upon market conditions. It is well suited to both, if you know what you're doing as a trader.

--Would you recommend Wave59 wholeheartedly? with reservations? not at all?

I think it's a great deal for any trader or wannabe trader. BUT, and this is a BIG BUT; by itself it will not make anyone a profitable trader. No signal or group of signals is 100%. The greater part of trading is planning, and then sticking with a plan. The plan has to included not only the forecast (based on signals) but also money management (Risk control). Most new traders don't yet realize this, and so have unrealistic expectations.

As far as the software alone is concerned, (that means developing good signals and an excellent forecast in a short amount of time) it is probably the best package available (and I have accumulated over $100,000 of software over the years) for one single reason:

Many traders use moving averages, Stochastics, blah blah blah - all types of indicators to try to forecast price movement. None of these types of indicators are really based upon what moves the markets. Therefore they are valuable only to the extent that other traders use them for decision making, and so by using them you can know what most technical traders will do at certain junctures.

The advanced indicators, like Gann Fans, Fibonacci, etc... are based upon what master traders have discovered; the things which affect human emotion (greed/fear/hope) and therefore affect the markets. The former I call "abstract indicators" and the latter I call "direct indicators." If you want to really understand what moves the markets (emotion), and enhance the reliability of your signals, go with the direct indicators - the advanced work of Gann, Bayer and others. Wave59 will help you learn the basics of these advanced techniques, and will enable you to implement them in very short order with a high degree of reliabilty in the correctness of the indicators.

So my answer is qualified; a hearty "Yes!" on recommending the software for developing reliable signals, and "Yes!" for generating a good forecast, based on correct implementation of advanced indicators. But I limit that by saying you still have to be able to create a solid low risk trading plan, be able to control your own emotions and stick to it, and use proper money management, in order to be able to succeed as a trader.

I have taken another look at the Fib. Vortex. I have to say I fell off my chair when I realized how to use this little machine.
First I squared price then I made my chart area square. When this was completed it all came together.
The Vortex is not a static pattern that you slap on price. It is a time machine that spins with the touch of the "pointer finger" at its center. Once the Vortex is placed and "tuned" it coils / uncoils to the market revealing it's true organic motion. It's simple, elegant, and POWERFUL . It goes beyond trading. The Vortex demonstrates growth in a tangible way. I was actually disoriented as I realized what was happening and watched the market grow through the motion of the Vortex. Everything I knew about trading became static colored lines on the screen...the Vortex is alive!...IT'S ALIVE!!!

Well, I ran and hid in the closet but I'm back now.

I have a few questions, but first let me congratulate you on writing
such an incredible book! I am so impressed not only that you pulled all
of this information together in one book, but your writing style is so
incredible that you seem to have a knack for explaining things very
clearly and precisely. You tell the pros and cons of each technique in
a simple, concise manner.

I was a former Wave59 subscriber and I purchased one of your books a few
years ago, so I knew that your style of writing would clear up many of
the questions I had about esoteric trading in a clear, logical, easy to
understand manner. That is why I had no problem paying the high
purchase price, because I have many different Gann & Bayer books, but
all of them left me still "scratching my head" with no logical way to
pull it all together.

I am also happy to be a student of these subjects because I truly
understand that we are dealing with something that reaches FAR beyond
trading. I like how you touch on that at the end of the book. I am
aware of all the scientific research on waves and particles, and I am a
student of the Universal Laws of Attraction, Sacred Geometry and enjoy
movies such as "What the Bleep Do We Know" and "National Treasure."
It's clear to those who are enlightened that we are dealing with the
very makeup of the universal and creation. Some of whom will call God.

Who would have thought that one could obtain spiritual enlightenment by
