Some of the oldest and most widely used analysis techniques deal with drawing figures and shapes right onto the face of a chart. Trendlines, retracement levels, and price fans all fall into this category. Most charting programs offer very little in the way of this form of analysis besides trendlines, but Wave59 contains an impressive array of tools that can be used to give traders visual clues about what a market is about to do next.

Adding drawing tools to a chart is incredibly easy. Simply navigate to the drop down menu, click the item you want, then click the appropriate area of the screen with your mouse. At any time, you can move a drawing object, format its attributes, or delete it from the chart. Don't like where the end of the trendline is? Grab it and put it where you want it! Batch delete, where all objects of a certain type are erased, is available for very involved charts. All of these tasks are easily accomplished with only two or three clicks of the mouse.

We have worked very hard to make everything extremely user friendly and easy to operate. Our goal was to make these drawing tools just as easy to use as if you had created the chart by hand. The software will not ever force to to put your drawing objects in any particular place. If you want to ignore price all together and draw a little stick figure in the corner of the chart, you will have the ability to complete your task with out any limitations. This is more than just a cute joke - there are charting programs out there that are incapable of doing this!

Thanks to Wave59's ability to create properly scaled charts, fixed drawing objects such as fans and squares will always appear properly. And since our charts provide space to the right, you will never see your drawing object move around or get squashed down due to automatic scaling. If you draw a circle on your chart in the morning, that circle will be in exactly the same place at market close. These are stable screens!

In addition to some of the more static drawing tools, Wave59 contains dynamic tools that use price action to determine how they are drawn. Most traders are familiar with basic Fibonacci retracements, but this software also offers Fibonacci Arcs and ABC target projections.

The chart below shows the blue static time counter working in conjunction with a Mirror Image Forecast. You can see that the forecast is projecting a sharp drop into October. Check out your charts and see what MSFT did during that time!

In addition to all of the tools mentioned above, there is one very special tool we have not yet discussed. We have discovered an amazing support and resistance calculator we have named the Fibonacci Vortex. It is still surprising to us how we ever managed to uncover this technique, and along with the 9-5 count (see "Technical") it represented one of our most closely guarded secrets. Now we're offering this technique to you. Simply place the vortex on a correctly scaled chart, find the correct fit, and you'll see every major future buying and selling level in the market. It is truly a wonder to behold.

There are many good traders that use nothing more than these kinds of drawing tools, so they can be very powerful if used properly.
